Inspiration
Wherever we are in our personal and business lives, it is great to draw inspiration from a variety of sources. I’ve lost count of the number of presentations I’ve sat through which contained a quote from Gandhi, Sun Tzu or Maya Angelou. You know the ones I mean.
My inspirations are much more down to earth. My kids say that I can turn any conversation into a reference from one of Blackadder, Hitchhikers’ Guide To The Galaxy or Monty Python’s Life Of Brian. Is this part of a cunning plan? Or maybe because I could never get the hang of Thursdays? Or am I just looking on the bright side of life?
If you’re a fan of Douglas Adams, you’ll know that he had an interesting theory, called the interconnectedness of all things. I wrote the first draft of this blog a few weeks ago, then stopped to have lunch and flick through the (electronic) paper. The second article I saw was a story regarding crowdfunding for a new book about Douglas Adams, based on unpublished papers found after his death. Things truly are interconnected, in ways we cannot really appreciate. As the great man himself said:
