Are you looking after everyone in your business?

So, 16 months after moving to the area and over 2 years since our last visit, my wife and I returned to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon last week, to see Henry VI pt 2.

What a joy it was to be back seeing live theatre – the spectacle, the sounds, even the pleasure of eating ice cream with a small plastic spoon in the interval.

As seems inevitable at the moment, there were some last minute changes to the cast due to Covid infections. The understudies had to step in at short notice and all did a wonderful job. It was great to see them being singled out for applause at the end.

This made me wonder about all the ‘the behind the scenes’ people we take for granted in business. They are equally as important as the headline stars but rarely get the recognition. Without them, the show would simply not go on.

So a hearty thanks to all of you.

For anyone who would like a refresher in the importance of teamwork to drive growth, please give me a shout.
