New Year Metaphor

On New Year’s day we headed out for lunch to the pub where our younger daughter has been working part time. Down one of the narrow country lanes we normally use, we had to stop to allow a herd of about 100 sheep to pass us by.

This led to several observations:

-      They were guided by one sheep dog and stayed in perfect formation

-      Despite taking up the whole road, they very politely funnelled past the car before spreading out again

-      Once they had passed, the farmer thanked us for our patience

I decided this had to be a metaphor for kickstarting 2022. Please select from the following:

-      Great coaching and training pays off

-      Take a pause and stop being in a rush

-      Sometimes it is worth following the herd

-      Politeness never hurts

-      If you want to achieve something, there’s no point in being sheepish (sorry)

Here’s to 2022
