New skills. New business.

When I set up my business in the Spring of 2021, lots of people told me that it would likely end up looking different to the original vision.

A few months in I realised that the work I was doing was often as much about Coaching as it was about Consulting.

Despite there being absolutely no clamour for more Coaches 😊, I strongly felt that I wanted to formalise my expertise in this area. So, I investigated further and signed up to a 6-month course with the lovely team at i-coach academy for a Level 7 Foundation in Coaching Practice accreditation.

I had the option of weekly learning online or in person in monthly face-to-face sessions. I selected the latter which proved to be a wise choice as I’m in a group with 8 fantastically talented people from a variety of backgrounds who are supporting each other in our learning journeys. As we’ve all discovered, there is a significant difference between leadership, mentoring and coaching.

As part of the course, I’m coaching 5 interesting, patient people, who don’t mind me checking my notes during sessions to make sure I’m staying on track. Thanks to all of you for helping me progress and develop.

I’ll be unleashing my Coaching skills on the wider world soon. Prepare yourselves.
